Some house keeping +
In case you want to adjust which sections of my writing you want to receive, here’s how.
It has been a couple of years since I began writing here on Substack. I began with one idea, and now have added to it. Maybe you only want to read/listen to one section. At the bottom of this post, you’ll see how.
Meanwhile a little background on how I got here…I started with an urge to share my journey of practicing presence while exploring this amazing planet, and thus was born my main newsletter, Experience, Savor, Share, Repeat.
Then I began to travel on my own more and people started saying things to me like, “Wow, I could never do that.” Or, “I would be so lonely traveling by myself.” I too was hesitant to travel alone at first, then realized that not only didn’t I have to wait for a companion to travel with, but that travel on my own provided so much, like getting to know myself better, getting to be my own best date, and getting to practice being okay with just me. シ ” So I decided to write about those adventures which became Solo Soul Travel.
Then I decided that I wanted to share some of the written words (books) that have so impacted my life, and nudge people in the direction of learning from those words, even if they were unlikely to read the books on their own. Thus was formed Wise Words, my latest addition to my Substack writings.
Now there are three. And now I post more often, meaning you subscribers (thank you so much!) are getting more emails than before. Perhaps that’s good with you, perhaps not so much. So, if you want to adjust that, here’s how.
Go to rylla.substack.com and make sure you are signed into your Substack account. Click on your account (three bars and perhaps your pic) and then go to manage subscription. Hopefully you’ll get a window that looks like this:
You can see the sections and set the toggle to receive what you want. シ
That’s it. Also remember that just because I write, you don’t need to read. While I am signed up to several newsletters on Substack, I don’t get to reading them all. I don’t like getting tons of emails and I am working on disconnecting the button in my head that reacts to said emails by thinking I should read them all. We have so much input into our heads these days. Let’s all endeavor to pick and choose our diet of words with thought and care.
I did a post on that a while back…take a peek/listen Should you read because I write?
Thank you for being here, on the journey, with me. 🙏🏼 Please share and invite others along for the ride.
By the way, the post on next sections of A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle for the Wise Words book group will be posted soon. I’m not feeling finished with them yet. Also, as I went dancing last night (what a blast!) I’m tired today and think a review with a more rested head is in order. Thanks for your understanding, patience and flexibility! シ
